No treatment was conducted on this volume. This 19th century full leather binding came to the lab for housing, a cloth covered clamshell enclosure. The hidden fore-edge painting is of a pastoral setting. The curator asked to have the fore-edge painting photographed since it was a new acquisition. A plexi glass press was created in the lab to aid in photographic documentation of the painting. View Catalog Record |
