This is an important book to the history of science. This book belongs to the Geo-Maths Physics library, and it is a possible candidate for a future exhibit. The binding, a quarter leather binding, is in poor condition with the upper cover completely detached from the textblock. The lower cover is still attached to the textblock, however the outer joint is breaking. The engraved foldout is torn along the folds and cannot be safely unfolded without suffering further damage. In general, the leather suffers from red rot. As a result, conservation treatment was conducted to consolidate the red rotted leather, reattached the upper cover, as well as repair the tears on the engraved foldout. View Catalog Record |
