This book was selected for conservation treatment as part of the 2019 UC Adopt‐a‐Book program. According to the Classics Library curator Rebecka Lindau, this facsimile was printed in Venice in 1905, and is one of only 500 copies in written in French. This is an early 20th century red velvet binding with a gold embossed emblem on the upper cover. Overall, the binding is in fair condition. The velvet has discolored along the spine and top board edges from a red color to a light brown. The spine has loss most of its velvet fibers. View Catalog Record |
